Because JK Rowling announced this morning that her final Harry Potter book (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) will be released on July 21st.
This means, of course, that I have to re-read all others up to this point before July!! EEEEE!!
Posted by 10lees at February 1, 2007 08:10 AMIn between each one - why don't you re-read the Narnia series - it's great if you do that in the order of The Magician's Nephew, Harry Potter, The Lion, the witch and the Wardrobe, Harry, Prince Caspian, Harry, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Harry, The Silver Chair, Harry, The Horse & his Boy, Harry, The Last Battle (where they're all reunited).
I'm reading Letters Volumne 1 of the letters of C.S. Lewis from 1908 - 1931 - did you know that he wrote 100 word letters when he was 7 and 8? The ones that survived anyway.
He and his brother would invent places and then write stories about it. He was in a little group called the inklings. The series that C.S. Lewis wrote involved in the first book rings just like Tolkiens. But the rings in Tolkiens were more sophisticated. :) I found Tolkiens books to be tedious - but I read every word - unlike T who reads every fifth or just skims a paragraph - wish I could do that!!! C.S. Lewis's children's series is perfect as it's written at the 5th grade level.
Love,
M
Oh my gosh!!! I was just thinking about checking that site today as I am soo looking forward to the new book! And yes, I will have to reread at least the last few books because I'm sure there are so many little details I have completely forgotten!!! Yipee skipee

I'm so excited... and you know, I have to give you all the credit, as you are the one who convinced me to give Harry Potter a try. I've finally read them all except for Half-Blood Prince. I'm so stinking excited for the movie/book releases this summer!!!!!
