We're Alive!

Apparently God is angry with us in Seattle; first we have a crazy snow storm in November, and now we have the worst wind storm in 13 years. The power has gone out no less than three times and Scott is tired of resetting the time on the DVD Player. The wind storm didn't affect myself or Scott too much, other than I took me three times as long to get off my hill because all the roads were closed due to downed power lines. We were out of power for 24 hours, and have a magic gas fireplace that came on in our 55 degree house on Friday night. We cuddled up beneath lots and lots of blankets, and even announced a farting free for all (because it creates more warmth!). Around 1AM our power came back on and we woke up in extreme heat (77 degrees) and had to turn out the wonderful fireplace.

We are alive and doing well, so don't worry about us.

Glad you made it thru. Now you know the hunymoon is over with all that fluffing. ;)

Love,

Glad to hear you guys are okay. My in-laws (in Bellevue) were telling me about that storm and it sounded horrible. Thanksfully they were also safe.

Opps I mean they are in Bothell...don't know what I was thinking/dreaming =)

Bellevue is close to Bothell, but Bellevue is definetly one of the 'rich' cities. There was an older lady calling into a radio show here complaining that 'she paid more in taxes and therefore her power should be back on faster than all those people in hicksville' and she was from Bellevue. Granted she didn't actually say 'hicksville', just that her power should be on faster since she pays more taxes. I say it is her choice to live in downtown Bellevue, which is much more expensive than the suburbs.

Don't worry mom, there wasn't much fluffing going on on my part - if it had been a burping free for all then there might have been some 10lees participation.

I found this to be very informative. This post-apocalyptic view of the future at once made me reminiscent and fearful for the future of America. At least the future of America that was promised to us by Snake Plisken in the documentary Escape from New York (I think we would all agree that Escape from L.A. never happened. Henry Fonda probably couldn’t survive in a post-apocalyptic world no matter how sweet of a surfer he is).

Further 10, I am impressed with your resolve not to burn your furniture. As we all know furniture is an excellent fuel source perhaps only to be outdone by cats. I congratulate you on your iron will not to burn either during your most desperate hours of need.

Bravo!
