Happy New Years!

Have a wonderful New Year everybody! I am sharing some lyrics with you, since I didn't know them either.

Should old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind ? Should old acquaintance be forgot, and auld lang syne ?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

And surely you’ll get your pint mug !
And surely I’ll get mine !
And we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

We two have run about the hills,
and pulled the daisies fine ;
But we’ve wandered many a weary foot,
since auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

We two have paddled in the stream,
from morning sun till dine;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

And there’s a hand my trusty friend !
And give us a hand o’ thine !
And we’ll take a right good-friendly draught,
for auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

May this year be better than the last.

I don't know who is a bigger dork you for writing this or me for then googling auld lang syne to figure out what the hell the whole thing means. Well Old, long, time to you. The song makes less sense than orginally thought. I kid. Happy new years

There is like nine million versions but this one makes the whole thing make sense. Thats the English translation..

Verse One
Should old friendships be forgotten
and never remembered?
Should old friendships be forgotten
And old friends and days?

Chorus
For old friends and days, my dear
For old friends and days
We will still take a drink
For old friends and days

Verse Two
And here is a hand my trusted friend
And give me your hand
And we will take a good toast
For old friends and days

Chorus
For old friends and days, my dear
For old friends and days
We will still take a drink
For old friends and days

it's like going from the King James version of a verse to the New Century Bible version - it doesn't help the understanding of what they were trying to say. :(

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I always thot that Auld Lang Syne was old guy name??? ;) Obviously I was wrong. It's been known to happen.

Auld Lang Syne means Old Times Sake. I like the other wording better, it's just Scottish.
