Unemployment

So far unemployment is treating me well, I have managed to sleep for a solid 12 hours. Actually it wasn't solid, I went to bed at 8:30pm, but got up at 1:30am for a snack, and then went back to bed again - but it was close to solid. This is my plan for the next few days, until I manage to find another job - haha.

Today I did go and watch my step-daughter's soccer game. I am still not understanding the whole 'soccer' obsession. Seriously - my daughter (I just assume here) is going to take piano lessons and ballet, but none of this Saturday morning game stuff. I need my Saturdays to relax and recoop. My husband claims I'll enjoy going to games when it's my children. I beg to differ, I think I will just make him take them.

Now I am enjoying some Firefly in HD, which is awesome on my 50 inch screen. Have a great night!

What do you mean find another job. Did you not just get another job?
And you can't force your children to be dorks. Either they are or they aren't. So suck it up and go to the damn soccer games.

IF you have someone with the energy level of a R - your bro or your grandma - you BETTER let them be active - just my opinion ...
Glad to hear you're getting lots of sleep.
Bran - she's just messing with you...
Since kids can't play in the streets or yards anymore or the parks - structured activities is about all that's left & treadmills???
But I will tell you I never enjoyed watching soccer games - so I'm with you there. I think we should be able to drop our kids off with safe adults and go do a few errands - they don't need us on the sidelines constantly being encouraging - man what a lot of WORK!!! :) JK

Ballet isn't dorky, but I just don't know about sitting at soccer games all the time. Like my mom says - it's a little boring. I only remember being at a couple of my bro's soccer games, but perhaps I have blocked the rest of them.

I am sure my children will experience team sports - I just wish the games would be every other week or something. Plus G'ma did ballet, so that counts right?

Books and soccer games go very well together.

well... you're supposed to attend kiddo games, but when they get old enough to fend for themselves, you can skip 'em... at least, that was my mom's theory.... :o)

Your children may be horrible at team sports - I know I NEVER did any team sports - I did play basketball in 5th of 6th grade and the teacher said that the point of the game was to get the ball - well I did - and everyone was mad at me - WHAT - I HAVE THE BALL!!!! ;) Ah well!

Your Unc. Tho HATED team sports - he only liked one year with baseball!
