Summer TV

Usually during the summer there is nothing to watch, unless you decide to catch up on some repeats of shows you didn't care enough to watch during the winter months (yes, I'm talking about you 30 Rock, but I'll care more next year, I promise). However, I have found a hilarious show. I am not normally one for joke shows, but this one does take the cake. It is Canadian and some, if not all, of it appears to have been filmed in Quebec. There is no laborous discussions to kill the mood, instead it is pure genius of doing something and getting a reaction out of people. It is on ABC on Tuesday nights at around 8pm. Please don't tune in unless you are ready for some hilarious, not always appropriate, humor. It's called Just For Laughs, tune in!

Or provide me with some great TV shows for me to catch up on! I am, of course, watching the new season of Doctor Who, which I enjoy even though it is frequently silly.

Your Uncle Thom LOVED Dr. Who - maybe your Dad did too - I can't remember that though - not really - but I could make it up. :)

I watched about 4 shows between 9 and 10. Shak, Frazier, Jim Corwin and Alaska and alittle of another show. I think I got the highlights of each one. :)

Also, I moved Samson's things and will put Gab's room back together tomorrow.

I went to a dr. apptmt. today - but it's tomorrow - I'm NOT tired! :)
Love,
Mom

My new favorite show is called Ice Road Truckers. It is on History Channel and it is awesome. It is about the guys that transport goods through the Canadian northland to the diamond mines. The personalities are so interesting. http://www.history.com/minisites/iceroadtruckers

I have heard of Ice Road Truckers, but I hadn't tuned into it yet. I have heard it has good ratings and good reviews, I'll have to record it sometime.

The old Doctor Who was even sillier than the new one, but at least it had the excuse that special effects were not nearly the art form that they are today. I like it because the villins seem so cartoonish. It's hard to be scared of aliens when they aren't that real...

but with all new shows comes greater disappointment... I heard Alec Baldwin is leaving 30 Rock

I heard he wanted to leave and 30 Rock / NBC would not let him out of the contract. Bwahahaha, keep him in the contract NBC, keep him in!!
