Greatest Weakness / New Year Resolution

In my quest for a possible New Year's Resolution that I won't keep I have gone through a list of my weaknesses in search of what I could resolve to do better. One thing stands out far and above the rest this year - by 'getting back' skills could use some improvement.

I know, most of you are thinking 'just some!?!, how about a lot!'. Perhaps this is a personal failing, but I think it is merely shear laziness, like not cleaning out the catbox for two weeks (not that I've done that... yet). It's not that I don't want to talk to my friends and family, it's only it takes way too much effort to pick up the phone and call, or to drive to the library and write an email. I need to be goaded into getting my act together and getting everything in order.

For all of my friends who haven't gotten timely calls back or haven't heard from me at all for days on end - I apologize. It isn't that I hate you, I probably don't (haha), I just am a lazy person who doesn't make time to keep in touch. I resolve to make more phone calls and write more emails and generally keep my friends in the loop on my life. I do love you all and I hope you are beginning a wonderful new year!!

What is your New Year Resolution?

Well is should be your new years resolution to call your friends back because you know we all call you back within five minutes of missing your phone calls/emails etc.
Me new year resolution is to buy a new computer, so that you can have ours, and not have to go to the libary to email your friends. See I'm helping everyone here by buy things I can't afford. I think my resolution should be to spend more money as clearly I don't spend enough.

You know there are a lot of good sushi places in Seattle... actually that's what I've heard, I don't actually eat sushi so I don't know.

Bran, I think that is a great resolution. In fact if you could spend more money you don't have on me, that would be appriciated! :-)

The Chinese food resolution worked out well for me, by the way. :)

I think spending more money and eating more sushi are both excellent and likely to be kept resolutions.

I'm working on reading more. In the new year so far I've read Fight Club, my fourth Palahniuk book to date, and I've started Everything is Illuminated. The first chapter is in severly broken english so it's slow going but it comes on the recommendatation of Josh Kruck so I have faith that it'll be worth it. The movie also looks sweet so I figure the book should be even better.

Cool -- _Fight Club_ is a really well-written book. It's only 200 pgs. and at a 5th-grade vocab., but it packs a punch (groan). I received _Lullaby_ as a gift last year and still haven't cracked it. If I made NYRs, I resolve to read more regularly -- but that's not going to happen. I need to get back to active music listening first.

bran if you sent T your computer - then you'd have to buy her a wireless connection or a landline as she has neither. So that's a good way to spend your moola too.

Love,
B
