For everybody who didn't know, today was Talk Like a Pirate day. Eh, matey... argh. That's really about all I can say. It's pretty sad.
This past weekend was nice and relaxing. I got some cleaning of the apartment done. I wish that I either had enough room for all my junk or that I had the heart to throw whatever I don't need out. I'm not really a pack-rat, I swear!
I did manage to get addicted to a new game called 'Bookworm', technically the game isn't new. However, I got a free copy of it after I went to the WIGI event in Seattle, actually at Microsoft, on the 10th of September. I know I didn't mention it - but it was cool! I had a lot of fun hobnobbing with the gamers. I wish I could be involved in the gaming industry, which is just huge here. My school has a program called 'Digital Entertainment and Game Design' and so I was building contacts in the industry by going. And getting free food from Microsoft, which was excellent I might add.
Anyway, back to the game: it is amazing! I was addicted this weekend, for about two hours. It is like Scrabble on crack. Plus you get burning tiles and you can't let them reach the bottom because then they will burn the library down. You can reach different ranks (for example: Scribe) and that's fun too. I did pretty well, but I am sure my stepfather will beat my score easily when he plays. I am not always the greatest at word spelling games and I have a tendancy to want to spell non english words. (Quo is a word - it's just Latin!) You can check it out at Pop Cap's Official Site or at MSN games if you wish.
I also watched the movie Just Like Heaven, which was heavenly (aren't I clever) and hilarious really. I would reccomend it to anybody who wanted a good movie to watch, or a good romantic comedy. Speaking of movies - has anybody seen The Brother's Grimm? I am interested in seeing it but want to know if it is too scary.
