An Update in the Life

I was sick the last part of last week, so I apologize for the lack of posts and the long wait between them. I even got to work early to have time to write this before I started! I'm awesome I know....

I saw War of the Worlds two weeks ago, actually the first day it came out, and it was good. However if you've seen the 1953 version you pretty much know the story. The only thing they updated was the special effects, post 9/11 mentality (as opposed to Cold War or World War), and some gross things like the Aliens sucking blood out of people and spraying the countryside with it. Just so you know, I found that part the most disturbing. I mean it's not enough they are trying to kill us now we have to be scared of blood sucking aliens?? Doesn't that sound like a horrible 1940s movie. 'The Blood Sucking Aliens From Outer Space!!' ...

I rewatched Batman Begins with my step dad yesterday, still a great movie. I also want to see the Fantastic 4, but haven't made any plans yet.

I have an official boyfriend, and in true official girlfriend like ways I am forcing him to attend the only wedding I am invited to this year. Actually I didn't force him, he was nice enough to volunteer after he had already turned me down (he had his kids that weekend) and is going to make arrangements for the kids. After all the wedding is on Sunday, not on a Friday night or anything...

Speaking of the wedding, I have to say I was surprised to get an invite and very honored. I didn't expect one as I do know how expensive weddings are, and it is from someone I worked at the Evil Coffee Corporation with - she is soooo sweet to invite me. And she graduate from St Cate's!! It was very odd... we both missed Caribou but apparently the Tully's chain here is like Caribou. I am just too lazy to actually go and buy anything from them because I am too familiar with *bks. :-)

Only one week to HARRY POTTER! AAAAAHHHH, I'm on pins and needles. I should re-read the entire series. Will anybody make a bet with me that I can't re-read the entire series (up to book 5) by Friday?? That would give me more motivation.
